Generator Hire for Construction Sites

Site power for cranes, tools, lighting and site sheds. From three-phase setups to emergency 24/7 deployment, on sites across Melbourne and greater Victoria.

Construction hire

The program does not wait for the supply

A site needs three-phase power long before the permanent supply is energised, and it needs to survive a wet week, a night pour and a program that keeps moving.

Construction power

Power on site before the mains arrive

Most sites need power long before the permanent supply is energised, and they need it to survive a wet week, a night pour and a program that moves. We size the set to the real load, deliver it on our own float fleet, connect it, and keep it fuelled for as long as the job runs.

Because we are a power-only specialist rather than a general equipment hirer, you get one accountable team from the load assessment through to de-mobilisation, plus in-house A-grade electricians who can make the connection rather than leaving it to you to arrange.

  • Three-phase from day one Temporary switchboards and distribution to spread the supply across the site.
  • Scales with the program Swap up or down as the load changes, on a hire term that matches the build.
  • Refuelling handled Scheduled top-ups from our own refuelling trucks, so nobody on site is chasing fuel.

What happens next

From your call to power on

No triage queue and no handballing. The person who picks up is the person organising your set.

  1. You call, we answer

A real person on the phone any hour of any day, not an after-hours message bank. Tell us the site and what has gone down.

  2. We size it on the call

Our electricians and generator specialists work out what will carry the load now, and what the connection needs to look like.

  3. Dispatch and connect

The set goes out on our own float fleet, and our A-grade electricians make the connection and commission it on site.

  4. We stay accountable

Fuel management, monitoring and on-call technicians until your operation is back on, stable, and no longer needs us.

Construction questions

Frequently asked

How quickly can a generator get to a Melbourne construction site?

We hold hire stock in Kilsyth and run our own delivery fleet, so metropolitan Melbourne deliveries are usually same day or next day. For an outage or a breakdown we are on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

What size generator does a construction site need?

It depends on the starting loads rather than the running loads. Cranes, hoists and compressors draw far more on start-up than they do while running, and that peak sets the size. Our team runs a load assessment before quoting, or you can get an indicative figure from our free generator sizing calculator.

Do you handle the electrical connection?

Yes. Our A-grade electricians are in-house, not subcontracted, so we deliver, connect and commission the set and hand it over ready to run.

Can you refuel the generator during the hire?

Yes. We run refuelling trucks and can put your site on a scheduled top-up, or supply an industrial fuel cell for longer hires so the set holds a larger reserve between visits.
