Eastern Generators Hire ("EGH", "we", "our") operates egh.net.au. What we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us:

Enquiry and quote forms. Your name, phone number, email address and the details of your enquiry, so we can respond to you.
Generator sizing calculator. If you ask us to email you a sizing report, we collect your name and email address to send it, and keep a copy of the enquiry so our team can follow up.
Phone and email contact. If you call or email us directly, we keep the details needed to handle your job or enquiry.

Our web server also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention, for example rate-limiting automated form spam.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes, hire, sales, servicing or installation.
To send you a report or document you specifically requested.
To keep records our business is required to keep.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing. We only share it where needed to deliver our services (for example with our email provider to send you a report) or where the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage may be used to remember small on-device preferences; that data stays on your device and is not linked to your identity.

Embedded services

Some pages embed content from other providers, such as the Google Maps view of our office on the contact page and web fonts served by Google. When your browser loads that content, those providers may receive standard technical data (such as your IP address) and apply their own privacy policies.

Storage and security

Personal information is stored in systems controlled by EGH. The site is served over SSL encryption, and we review our security arrangements regularly. We keep enquiry records only as long as they are useful for serving you or as the law requires.

Access, correction and removal
