Generator Hire Melbourne

A genuine 24/7, turnkey hire service: planning, delivery, electrical connection, fuel management and on-call technicians. 20kVA – 1500kVA, across Melbourne and greater Victoria.

Why us

A power-only specialist

Unlike general equipment hirers, generators are all we do. You get dedicated expertise, rapid decision-making, and one accountable team from design to de-mobilisation.

Our in-house electricians and generator specialists design the power plan, commission on site, and stay accountable until your operations are back on and stable. It is a turnkey model built for outages, events and planned works where downtime is not an option.

We match the right unit to the application and manage it throughout the hire, and units over 100kVA can be synchronised to run in series to provide redundancy and load bearing on the sites that need it.

  • Our own fleet Tilt trays, crane trucks and refuelling trucks in-house, so delivery windows hold.
  • Our own electricians A-grade electricians on staff to connect and commission on site.
  • 20kVA – 1500kVA Standard and super-silent sets, with parallel operation above 100kVA.

100kVA – 1500kVA

Acoustic canopies that keep the noise down where it matters: hospitals, CBD sites, residential streets and live events. The same power, a fraction of the sound.

Sizing

Get the right size

The running load is the easy part. It is the surge when a motor kicks in that sizes the machine. Our calculator works out both, in a couple of minutes.

Hire questions

Frequently asked

What size generator do I need?

Size against the starting loads, not just the running loads: motors, compressors, cranes and refrigeration draw far more on start-up, and that peak sets the machine. Our free generator sizing calculator will give you an indicative figure in a few minutes, and our team will confirm it before anything is quoted.

What sizes do you hire out?

The fleet runs from 20kVA up to 1500kVA, in standard and super-silent configurations. Units over 100kVA can be synchronised to run in series, which provides redundancy, load bearing and the ability to take one machine offline without dropping the site.

How quickly can you deliver in Melbourne?

We hold hire stock in Kilsyth and run our own delivery fleet, so metropolitan deliveries are usually same day or next day. For an outage we are on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and average a metro response under 90 minutes.

Do you cover regional Victoria?

Yes, and well beyond it. Regional Victoria is routine, and we work Australia-wide where a client needs us: AusNet at Corryong, Australia Post facilities in five capital cities, a Defence installation in the Northern Territory. Distance affects the timing, not the service.

What is the minimum hire period?

It depends on the set and the job. We hire from single-day event work through to multi-year contracts, and short hires regularly extend when a repair or upgrade runs long. Tell us the dates you know about and we will build the term around them.

How is this different from a general equipment hire company?

We are a power-only specialist. That means dedicated generator expertise, rapid decision-making and one accountable team from design to de-mobilisation, rather than a generator sitting in a yard alongside scissor lifts and excavators.
