A hire at 1100kVA is a temporary power station. Everything about it is designed: the placement, the controls, the fuel, and what happens when a machine has to come offline.
Major industrial sites, network infrastructure, large processing facilities and micro grids all sit in this band. The generator itself is the least complicated part of the job. The controls, the change-over arrangement, the cable route and the fuel storage are where the engineering lives.
Our large fleet is built around 1250kVA and 1500kVA machines, so an 1100kVA requirement goes out on the nearest set that carries the duty, or on synchronised sets designed around your load profile. We have delivered exactly this kind of work, including super-silent sets to network specification with ComAp controllers and a 60,000L fuel system.

Yes. Our projects include supplying and installing super-silent generators with ComAp IG1000 controllers to network specification for AusNet Services in Corryong, together with a 60,000L fuel system for a micro grid, and synchronised sets with ComAp IG500 controls and field tanks for Barwon Water.
It synchronises the sets, shares load between them, and manages change-over so the site transfers cleanly. It is also how a machine is taken offline for service without the load noticing. We design, install and commission these arrangements in-house rather than subcontracting the controls.
Longer than a call-out, and the honest answer depends on the design. Placement, controls, switchgear and fuel all have to be worked out first. Bring us in early and the mobilisation is planned; bring us in late and we will still make it work, but the options narrow.
Under real, measured load with our own load banks, including proving what happens when one set in a synchronised arrangement is taken offline. Comprehensive commissioning and testing is part of the job, not an optional extra.
