What it runs

Near the top of the fleet

1250kVA is held in both standard and super-silent build, which at this scale is unusual and is often the reason a project comes to us.

Large industrial plants, network infrastructure, major processing facilities and micro grids run at this size. The set is containerised, the supply is a designed installation with control systems and change-over gear, and the fuel arrangement is a bulk system rather than a schedule of top-ups.

We hold 1250kVA in the standard fleet and in a super-silent configuration, and sets can be synchronised to run in series for redundancy and load bearing. Our own licensed electricians, mechanics and fitters handle the placement, the controls, the connection and the commissioning.

  • Super-silent available A quiet build held even at this scale, for sites with real noise limits.
  • Synchronised operation Run in series for redundancy, load bearing and servicing without a drop.
  • Bulk fuel systems Industrial fuel cells and field tanks, up to 60,000L installations.

It never goes out alone

A set on its own is rarely the whole job. The gear that gets it connected and keeps it running is held in our Kilsyth yard.

What happens next

From your call to power on

No triage queue and no handballing. The person who picks up is the person organising your set.

  1. You call, we answer

A real person on the phone any hour of any day, not an after-hours message bank. Tell us the site and what has gone down.

  2. We size it on the call

Our electricians and generator specialists work out what will carry the load now, and what the connection needs to look like.

  3. Dispatch and connect

The set goes out on our own float fleet, and our A-grade electricians make the connection and commission it on site.

  4. We stay accountable

Fuel management, monitoring and on-call technicians until your operation is back on, stable, and no longer needs us.

1250kVA questions

Frequently asked

What does a 1250kVA set power?

A large industrial plant, network or utility infrastructure, a major processing facility, or a micro grid. It is containerised, and the supply around it is a designed installation with control systems, change-over gear and a bulk fuel arrangement.

Is there a super-silent 1250kVA?

Yes. 1250kVA is one of the sizes we hold in a super-silent build, which at this scale is unusual and is often the reason a noise-constrained project comes to us. Raise the limit at enquiry so the right machine is allocated from the start.

Can sets this size be synchronised?

Yes. Sets are run in series under a common control system for redundancy, load bearing, and the ability to take one machine offline for service without dropping the site. We design, install and commission the controls in-house, including ComAp systems on network and water projects.

What does delivery and placement involve?

Heavy transport from our own fleet and crane placement, planned around access, ground bearing, exhaust clearance and the cable route. Nothing about it is left to delivery day, and our own crew handles the connection and commissioning.

How is fuel supplied?

As a designed bulk system: industrial fuel cells and field tanks, up to 60,000L installations, on a scheduled refuelling program run by our own trucks. At this consumption the fuel plan is engineered with the installation.

Do you have a track record at this scale?

Yes. Our projects include 2 x 1,500kVA super-silent sets with ComAp IG1000 controllers and a 60,000L fuel system for AusNet Services at Corryong, and 4 x 550kVA synchronised sets with ComAp IG500 controls for Barwon Water at Werribee West.
