Generator Hire

200kVA Generator Hire

A serious site machine, held in standard and super-silent build. Hospitals, data and comms rooms, food processing and events where the set has to carry the load and stay quiet doing it.

What it runs

Big power, kept quiet

200kVA is one of the sizes we hold as a super-silent set, which is why it turns up on the jobs where a standard machine simply would not be allowed.

This size runs hospital and aged-care essential services, data and communications rooms, food processing lines that cannot be allowed to warm up, and major events where the generator sits close to people for days. The load is substantial and the tolerance for noise, fumes and failure is close to zero.

We hold 200kVA in both standard and super-silent configurations, and sets at this size can be synchronised to run in series so a single machine coming offline never drops the site. On the critical jobs that redundancy is usually the point of the hire.

  • Super-silent available A quiet build held at this size for hospitals, events and inner-city work.
  • Redundancy by design Synchronise a pair so one machine can come offline for service without a drop.
  • Monitored through the hire Remote monitoring, scheduled refuelling and technicians on call any hour.

Where a 200kVA earns its keep

Hospitals and aged care, data and communications rooms, food processing and cold storage, major events, and network shutdowns in noise-sensitive areas.

It never goes out alone

A set on its own is rarely the whole job. The gear that gets it connected and keeps it running is held in our Kilsyth yard.

  • Refuelling trucks
  • Delivery tilt trays
  • Crane trucks
  • Industrial fuel cells
  • Temporary switchboards
  • Cable ramps and covers
  • Lighting towers
  • Load banks
What happens next

From your call to power on

No triage queue and no handballing. The person who picks up is the person organising your set.

  1. You call, we answer

A real person on the phone any hour of any day, not an after-hours message bank. Tell us the site and what has gone down.

  2. We size it on the call

Our electricians and generator specialists work out what will carry the load now, and what the connection needs to look like.

  3. Dispatch and connect

The set goes out on our own float fleet, and our A-grade electricians make the connection and commission it on site.

  4. We stay accountable

Fuel management, monitoring and on-call technicians until your operation is back on, stable, and no longer needs us.

200kVA questions

Frequently asked

What will a 200kVA generator run?

Hospital and aged-care essential services, a data or communications room, a food processing line with refrigeration and conveyors, or a major event's full distribution. It is a size chosen when the load is substantial and the tolerance for an interruption is close to zero.

Is there a super-silent 200kVA?

Yes. 200kVA is one of the sizes we hold in a super-silent build, which is exactly why it appears on hospital, event and inner-city work. If the site has a noise limit, tell us at enquiry so the quiet machine is allocated from the start.

Can you provide redundancy?

Yes, and at this size it is usually the right question. Sets at 100kVA and above can be synchronised to run in series, so the load is shared and one machine can be taken offline for service without dropping the site. We design that arrangement with you rather than selling a second machine by default.

Can the set be monitored remotely?

Yes. Remote monitoring is available on the hire fleet at this size, which on a long or critical contract means we see a developing problem before the site does. It sits alongside scheduled refuelling and servicing through the hire.

What is involved in delivering and placing one?

It goes out on our own fleet, with crane trucks available for lift-and-place into rooftops, plant rooms and tight yards. Our A-grade electricians make the connection and commission the set, and we supply the temporary switchboards, cable ramps and covers the site needs.

How much does it cost to hire a 200kVA generator?

Term drives it, then the configuration: a super-silent machine, a parallel pair, remote monitoring and bulk fuel all change the number. Tell us the duty and the duration and we will quote the arrangement, not just the machine.
